The Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union, which led roughly 80,000 miners to down tools on Thursday, said it "will be part of the negotiations" set to take place from 0700 GMT Friday. "The strike is still going, there is no agreement, no settlement yet," said AMCU president Joseph Mathunjwa. South Africa is the world's largest platinum producer and around 134,000 workers are employed in the sector.
